Installer Helper (no experience) – $500–1,400 / per week

The entry door into the trade. For your first ~10 days you ride with a mentor tech, learn the tools, the meter, the ladder and the field app – and we pay you $500 for the full training. Most helpers pass certification and get their own route within a month. No resume, no prior experience, no perfect English required.

Frequently asked questions

Can I work without fluent English?

Yes. TreeTech supervisors and mentors speak English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish. You need basic phrases for customers at the door – we give you a phrase card and it comes quickly on the job.

Do I need experience to start?

No. The Installer Helper track starts with ~10 days of paid training with a mentor, and most helpers get their own route within a month. If you already have cable, fiber or electrical experience, you skip ahead after a field assessment and start at a higher rate.

What documents do I need?

Authorization to work in the US: an EAD card, Green Card or citizenship. TreeTech is an E-Verify employer. You will also need a driver’s license – if you only have a learner’s permit, talk to the recruiter about options.

How is the pay calculated?

Piece-rate: every work order type has a published point value, and your weekly check is the sum of completed points. You see the rate card before you sign, and every order is visible in the field app – so the math is always checkable.

Which states do you hire in?

Right now – 12 states: Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Alabama and Michigan. We help with relocation between our states, and the Travel Tech track works across all of them at once.

How fast is the hiring process?

A recruiter responds within 15 minutes during business hours, the interview is a short Zoom call with a supervisor from your region, and you get a written offer within 48 hours after it – with the rate card attached. From application to your first paid training day it usually takes 5–10 days.
