Low Voltage Technician – $1,400–2,100 / per week

Structured cabling for apartment buildings (MDU) and light-commercial sites: pulling Cat6 and coax, dressing panels, wiring units to spec. A good fit if you come from electrical or construction – the tool discipline transfers directly, and most of the work is indoors year-round.

What you will do

  • Pull and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 and coaxial runs in MDU and commercial buildings
  • Dress and label wiring closets and distribution panels
  • Test and certify every run; document to the builder’s spec
  • Coordinate with construction crews and property managers
  • Retrofit older buildings for fiber-ready wiring

Requirements

  • Experience with hand and power tools (electrical/construction background welcome)
  • Ability to read simple wiring diagrams and floor plans
  • Driver’s license; authorization to work in the US
  • Team player – MDU jobs run in crews of 2–4

Can I work without fluent English?

Yes. TreeTech supervisors and mentors speak English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish. You need basic phrases for customers at the door – we give you a phrase card and it comes quickly on the job.

Do I need experience to start?

No. The Installer Helper track starts with ~10 days of paid training with a mentor, and most helpers get their own route within a month. If you already have cable, fiber or electrical experience, you skip ahead after a field assessment and start at a higher rate.

What documents do I need?

Authorization to work in the US: an EAD card, Green Card or citizenship. TreeTech is an E-Verify employer. You will also need a driver’s license – if you only have a learner’s permit, talk to the recruiter about options.

How is the pay calculated?

Piece-rate: every work order type has a published point value, and your weekly check is the sum of completed points. You see the rate card before you sign, and every order is visible in the field app – so the math is always checkable.

Right now – 12 states: Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Alabama and Michigan. We help with relocation between our states, and the Travel Tech track works across all of them at once.
