Cable technician jobs in Michigan – $800–3,500 / per week

Michigan is home to the Detroit metropolitan area, with its dense network of routes, and the rapidly growing Grand Rapids in the western part of the state. In the suburbs of Detroit, there are significant Eastern European communities–it’s not hard to find a fellow countryman on your work crew, and the adjustment period is shorter.

Frequently asked questions

Can I work without fluent English?

Yes. TreeTech supervisors and mentors speak English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish. You need basic phrases for customers at the door – we give you a phrase card and it comes quickly on the job.

Do I need experience to start in Michigan?

No. The Installer Helper track starts with 2–4 weeks of paid training with a mentor. If you already have cable, fiber or electrical experience, you skip ahead after a field assessment and start at a higher rate.

What documents do I need?

Authorization to work in the US: an EAD card, Green Card or citizenship. TreeTech is an E-Verify employer. You will also need a driver’s license – if you only have a learner’s permit, talk to the recruiter about options.

How is the pay calculated?

Piece-rate: every work order type has a published point value, and your weekly check is the sum of completed points. You see the rate card before you sign, and every order is visible in the field app – so the math is always checkable.

Do you help with a vehicle or relocation to Michigan?

Yes. There is a company vehicle-lease program for technicians without their own van, and we help with relocation between our states when routes are open – many techs have moved to Michigan with our support.
